PARENTS & CARERS SUPPORT GROUP

We are hosting a FREE Parents and Carers Support Group on Wednesdays (fortnightly) from 7-8:30.

This is a drop - in session, so you can stay for as long as you like within these times.

This group is designed to offer informal and friendly support, signposting advice and a chance to chat with other parents and carers, as well as some of our lovely practitioners.

Our aim is to support those who are looking after someone (young or old, including children) with mental health difficulties. We understand that this can often be tiring, frustrating, exhausting, a thankless task at times, a worry and emotionally draining - when you may not feel very resilient yourself. Gaining support by talking with others and a chance to focus on YOU for a bit of time can help to build this resilience and help you to remember you are NOT ALONE.

The dates for the remainder of this year are as follows:

Wednesday 22nd July

*Wednesday 5th August * This will be a "virtual support" offer which we are trialing as a way to ensure everyone can access support, even if you can't leave the house or make it to our premises. You can do this through emailing us or calling us between 7-8:30pm:

34themallwellbeing@gmail.com

07894546619 (Roberta)

07973759950 (Tim)

We have both worked as Samaritans and are both qualified MH practitioners. So, anything you talk to us about will remain confidential - and we can offer signposting advice, support, a listening ear...whatever is needed.

Wednesday 2nd September

Wednesday 16th September

Wednesday 30th September

Wednesday 14th October

Wednesday 28th October

Wednesday 11th November

Wednesday 25th November

Wednesday 9th December

If you would like to ask any questions about the group, who we are and what we do / what to expect, please do email us at: 34themallwellbeing@gmail.com or call Roberta on 07894546619.

Many who support those who are struggling don't know where to turn, or perhaps have been let down by the system / battling to get help. We can offer you a space to talk all of this through and help to suggest ideas and resources, as well as additional signposting advice to services across the IOW and further afield. We are also very open to suggestions from YOU, and plan to have some visiting speakers coming in to chat about various mental health topics.

COMING SOON>>> Eating Disorder Awareness meetings with Roberta McClelland-Branson and Rosie Bish. For anyone struggling with an Eating Disorder, and for services across the IOW wanting to learn more, please contact Roberta on 07894546619 for more information.
